You can get support to stop smoking if you:<\/strong><\/p>\n

– Live in Suffolk and are aged 12 and above<\/p>\n

– Are a current smoker<\/p>\n

You will need to know your Body Mass Index (BMI) \u2013\u202f<\/span>You can find out your BMI on the NHS website.<\/span><\/a>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

You can get support to manage your weight if you:<\/strong>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

– Live in Suffolk and are aged 18 or over\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

– Are motivated to achieve a healthy weight<\/p>\n

– Have a BMI between 30* and 40 (see below exception)<\/p>\n

*Individuals from minority ethnic groups or with an existing health condition are eligible for support if they have a BMI between 27.5 and 40<\/em>.<\/p>\n

Suffolk residents, excluding Waveney:\u00a0<\/strong>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

If you have a BMI of 40 or above,\u00a0you should ask your GP for a referral to the local Weight Management and Complex Obesity Service (WMCOS).\u00a0<\/span><\/b>We cannot accept your referral directly.<\/span>\u00a0\u00a0<\/span><\/b>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Waveney residents\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n

If you live in Waveney and have a BMI of 40 or above, <\/span><\/b>we require you to have a consultation with your GP before you\u00a0submit\u00a0a self-referral, or they can\u00a0submit\u00a0a referral to Feel Good Suffolk on your behalf.\u202f<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n
