Ramblers Wellbeing Walks in Suffolk
Feel Good Suffolk, in partnership with The Ramblers, offer free regular organised group walks across Suffolk.
Walking is a simple way to become more active. It can help improve your physical and mental wellbeing, support a healthy weight, improve cardiovascular fitness, boost your mood and motivation, improve sleep and reduce stress.
The walks are suitable for people who are new to exercise and those managing long term health conditions. Many walkers tell us that the friendships and conversations are just as valuable as the exercise.
There are around 90 different wellbeing walks to choose from, with over 1,000 people walking every month. Whether you enjoy a gentle stroll along the Suffolk coast or a walk through a local country park, there’s a walk to suit different ages, abilities and fitness levels.
All walks are:
Free to join
Led by friendly, trained volunteer walk leaders
Along easy-to-follow, tried-and-tested routes
A great way to meet new people and enjoy being outdoors
Walks are led by volunteer walk leaders. Many of them first joined as walkers themselves. They understand the benefits of walking and enjoy helping others discover the positive difference it can make to health and wellbeing.
We are looking for new volunteers to lead new walks or help support existing ones. If you are interested pleased email our Wellbeing Walks Coordinator sonny.baldry@ipswich.gov.uk
You can find more information about the walks on The Ramblers Website.
